Concrete pipe protection for forklift shoes made of Hawiflex® polyurethane

For increased transport safety

In concrete pipe production, forklift trucks are used to transport the finished concrete pipes. This is a critical process, as the product must be protected from bumps and chipping. In addition, the pipes must be transported safely and without slipping.

For this purpose, Contex has developed a Hawiflex PU concrete pipe protector that can be attached to your existing forklift shoes using integrated mounting straps. The product consists of a 5 mm thick steel sheet onto which a rounded polyurethane overlay is moulded. The surface of the support has a grooved profile for additional improved adhesion from tube to support. If the forklift is operated correctly, the pipes can be transported without slipping. The supports are supplied in two common standard formats. We can also supply the product with a flat support surface for angular prefabricated manhole sections on request.
